The University's Origins and Academic Identity
The Global Technological University (GTU) was established in 1447 AH (2025 CE) as an independent online distance-learning institution under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Ali Sharabi, who serves as both the University President and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees. The Board comprises an elite group of distinguished academic experts and eminent scholars—individuals of high academic standing who are active in global scientific forums and hail from various countries around the world. The University also brings together a distinguished group of eminent scholars from the Arab world and beyond, supported by a supreme advisory board featuring leading academics from universities across the Arab world, Africa, Europe, and Asia.
